1. Booking & Payment
All bookings, including tour packages, flight tickets, bus tickets, hot air balloons, and hotel accommodations, are subject to availability and confirmation by GTL travel. Upon receipt of the itinerary acceptance, confirmation will be provided, and the booking process will commence.
An advance payment of 50% of the total amount must be made 60 working days prior to departure from the country of origin.
The remaining balance of 50% is required to be settled 30 working days prior to departure from the country of origin.
2. Travel Itinerary
The itinerary provided by GTL Travel serves as a proposed plan for clients’ travel experiences. The tour package includes accommodation at 4-star hotels, guided tours, boat rental, drinking water, and snow towels, along with transportation between destinations. However, meals, visa fees, travel insurance, airport tax, international airfares, personal expenditures, and events are not included. Estimated personal expenses will, however, be informed at the time of booking. By booking with us, clients acknowledge and accept the possibility of itinerary adjustments and agree to cooperate with the GTL Travel’s management for the smooth execution of the travel experience.
3. Cancellation and Refund
Cancellation charges are applicable as follows:
- No charge for cancellations made for more than 45 days prior to the departure date from the country of origin.
- Cancellations made between 45 and 30 days before departure from the country of origin will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost.
- For cancellations made between 30 and 14 days before departure, a cancellation fee of 70% of the total cost will be applied.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before departure will result in a 100% charge of the total cost.
- Cancellation policies may vary depending on the type of service booked and could incur corresponding cancellation fees.
Amendment of itineraries
The company reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, or other travel arrangements due to unforeseen circumstances or operational reasons. Clients will be promptly notified of any changes to their travel plans. Alternative options will be provided to minimize disruption to the travel experience.
Refund Process
Refund eligibility for cancellations is subject to the terms and conditions of service providers, including airlines, hotels, and tour operators. The company will make reasonable efforts to facilitate refunds for canceled services in accordance with applicable policies. Any administrative fees incurred during the refund process may be deducted from the refunded amounts.
4. Liability & Insurance
The company shall not be held responsible for any acts of commission outside and beyond its control, including losses, injuries, or damages incurred during the tour. Visitors are advised not to enter restricted areas without a permit. Clients are strongly recommended to obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and loss of personal belongings. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, visitors are encouraged to ensure they have adequate financial protection for COVID-19 infections during their stay in Myanmar. Detailed information about COVID-19 insurance coverage can be obtained from Myanma Insurance’s website (https://www.mminsurance.gov.mm) or through our assistance in purchasing suitable insurance policies.
5. Force Majeure
In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, or acts of terrorism, beyond the company’s control, the company reserves the right to modify or cancel the tour. While no refund will be provided under such circumstances, alternative arrangements will be offered to clients whenever possible, depending on the feasibility and availability of options.
6. Intellectual Property
The company asserts all rights to intellectual property, encompassing cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and creative works. By upholding intellectual property rights, we actively contribute to the preservation of cultural diversity and sustainable development within Myanmar’s tourism industry. Clients are expected to respect and acknowledge the company’s intellectual property rights during their engagement with our services.
7. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from the terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Myanmar. The parties involved are encouraged to handle and resolve disputes amicably through mutual discussions and negotiations. Should an amicable resolution not be reached, legal recourse may be pursued through the appropriate judicial channels in accordance with the laws of Myanmar.
8. Health and Safety
Clients bear the responsibility for their health and safety throughout their travels and are required to adhere to all local laws and regulations in the destination country. It is imperative that clients take proactive measures to safeguard their well-being, including but not limited to, staying informed about local health risks, practicing good hygiene, and adhering to any health advisories issued by relevant authorities.
9. Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are solely responsible for ensuring the validity, accuracy, and completeness of all required travel documents, including passports, visas, and health certificates, as mandated by Myanmar authorities. Failure to possess the requisite travel documents may result in denied entry, deportation, or other travel disruptions for which the travel agency cannot be held liable. By booking with us, clients explicitly agree to comply with all travel document requirements and acknowledge their full responsibility for procuring and maintaining the necessary documentation for their journey.
